About Us

My name is Jhena Fajt and I am the owner of EVY Design & Embroidery! I started EVY in March of 2024 and have been working ever since to nurture its growth. I am also a full time accountant and work on your orders in the evenings and on weekends and truly can’t wait to one day make EVY my full time job…. in due time!

This little business I have grown is the perfect bridge to the wanderlust adventurer I once was (and where this all truly started many years ago) to the wife and mother I am today.
They are both equally and very much a part of who I am.

Although I will say, the current life stage I am in is my favorite. I am building a business I truly love and spend most of my free time with my babies, husband, and dogs. They truly are the best part of life.

The heart of EVY began years ago while I was serving in the U.S. Peace Corps in Albania. I rescued a stray puppy and named her Eevie. I would make her little bandanas from old fabrics I found at local bazaars. The locals thought I was a bit of a “crazy American” for caring so much about a dog but of course, that didn’t stop me.

After returning to the U.S., I sadly found out that Eevie had become very ill, and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her down. Even years later, I still think of her often.

Some time after that, I found myself craving a creative outlet so I bought a single-needle sewing/embroidery machine. What started as a side hobby making dog bandanas quickly grew into something much bigger. With every project, my confidence grew, both in my skills and in the belief that I could build something meaningful doing what I love. Before long, I was embroidering anything and everything!

Looking back, I think part of me was afraid that Eevie’s memory would fade with time. Since then, I’ve become a wife, a mother, a professional, and now a small business owner. But Eevie will always be a part of my story — she taught me about loyalty, love, and purpose.

When it came time to name my business, EVY Design & Embroidery just felt right. She’s still here with me; stitched into every creation.
